THE gates to a golf course in Newton Aycliffe have been damaged.
An attempted break-in to the driving range at Oakleaf Golf Complex, on School Aycliffe Lane, left the gates and ball dispenser damaged.
A spokesperson said: "The gates and ball dispenser were damaged and they tried to force the shutter to the ball washing shed."
CCTV footage from the time of the incident, from Thursday overnight into Friday, is currently being reviewed.
The complex is keen to identify a vehicle leaving with a broken rear light and likely damage to the rear.
