POLICE have seized 810 suspected cannabis plants with a street value of £680,000 during a raid on an address in Stockton on Tuesday morning.

A 22-year-old man was arrested at the property on Yarm Road and charged with producing class B Drugs.

Inspector Tony Cross, from Cleveland Police’s community drugs enforcement team, said: “Thankfully the suspected drugs did not reach the streets of Cleveland as they could have caused some serious harm to the people living in our communities."

The man is due to appear before Teesside Magistrates Court in connection with the suspected offence.
