A TEENAGER has reported being assaulted and robbed for his phone, wallet and money by a stranger in the street.
Police are appealing for information after the 18-year-old was mugged between 6.50am and 7.05am on Monday, September 17.
He was approached by a man as he crossed Victoria Bridge, on Bridge Road, in Stockton, travelling in the direction of Thornaby.
However, despite being attacked by the stranger, the 18-year-old was uninjured in the assault.
Cleveland Police are now searching for a suspect described as being a while man, in his late 20s or early 30s. He is around 5ft 7ins, with blond hair combed back and facial hair.
He was wearing a black jacket and grey trousers at the time.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with information regarding the man responsible is asked to contact Cleveland Police's Detective Constable Ryan Cairns via non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 171527.
