A TEENAGER is facing jail for an arson attack on a flat.
Thomas Lovatt set fire to the building in Middlesbrough on August 24.
Teesside Crown Court heard that he also had a knife in the street on the same day.
Judge Sean Morris adjourned the 18-year-old’s case until November 9 so a psychiatric report and a pre-sentence report can be written, and granted him bail until then.
Lovatt, of Fernhead, Marton, Middlesbrough, admitted arson being reckless as to whether life would be endangered and possessing a bladed article.
The judge told him: “These are serious issues.
“Arson virtually always results in a custodial sentence.”
