Raby Castle gardens open to the public: Saturday, 11am
A HISTORIC castle is offering exclusive behind the scenes tours.
Raby Castle, near Staindrop, County Durham, is offering visitors the "very rare" privilege, to look behind the closed doors this Autumn.
Visitors will get a behind the scenes glimpse into areas that have previously been restricted from public and guides will tell the stories of how the rooms were used.
It will be the first year the castle and grounds have been open during the Autumn with pre-booked dates available in October.
The tearooms and gift shop will all be open daily from 9am until December23 with October half term Halloween activities in the gardens for children.
- Castle tours will be held daily at 11am from Wednesday to Sunday each week between October 5 and November 4. Tickets are £25 per person and are bookable at rabycastle.com/shop
