SNOZZCUMBERS, giants and dreams were on the menu for schoolchildren celebrating Roald Dahl's birthday last week.
Pupils at Ingleton CofE Primary School got creative as they dressed up as their favourite Dahl character for the day to mark the famous children author's birthday.
A total of 23 children from Preschool to Year 2 took part in the fun activities themed around the BFG including making dream catchers and dream jars, making a giant and BFG ears and making Frobscottle to enjoy with their party tea.
Class teacher, Emma Welsby, said the children really enjoyed the day which was centred around their class book of the BFG and had been inspired to explore other Dahl classics.
"It really inspired them and they absolutely loved it," she said. "A big thank you to all the parents who all made a big effort with the costumes too."
