A COMMUNITY fun day is being held on Sunday to raise money for a six-year-old boy with a rare form of cancer.
Alfie Taylor, of South Moor, Stanley, was first diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in April 2016 and is currently undergoing treatment at the RVI in Newcastle.
The money raised from the event will be used to help send him on a holiday of a lifetime to Florida.
There will be inflatables, kids rides, raffles and games, guest DJ, emergency vehicles, food and refreshments, including a licensed bar.
There will also be an over 18’s five a side football tournament.
The fun day takes place at the Stanley Community Football Centre off Tyne Road, Stanley, DH9 6PZ from 12.30pm to 6pm.
Entry to the fun day, which is organised by five students from Stanley Events, is free.
