I USUALLY agree with most of John Cumberland’s comments, but I don’t agree that his 8 CWT registration number is from Sunderland.
It is a Yorkshire, West Riding registration.
I remember, as a young boy, an uncle owned a 1930s Ford 8hp, and it had a ‘hundredweight’ number plate.
