A DISQUALIFIED driver under the influence of a number of controlled drugs was stopped by police near Hartlepool yesterday.
Cleveland and Durham's Roads Policing Unit said the Seat Leon was stopped on the A689 'after intelligence from a foreign force was received'.
The driver was found to be under the influence of several drugs.
When he was taken to custody it emerged he had given false details and was actually disqualified from driving.
He was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including obstructing a constable in the execution of his or her duty.
