A GROUP of six men walked into a store in the middle of the day and ripped 22 mobile phones and iPads from display stands before escaping.

Cleveland Police are appealing for information about the group of six men, who took more than 20 devices from the O2 Store in Regent Walk Shopping Centre in Redcar on Thursday (September 6).

At about 2.30pm, five men went into the shop and ripped 22 mobile phones and I-pads from display stands, while one man remained in the shop doorway.

All six then left, heading towards West Dyke Road where they got into a vehicle.

The men are described as “young looking”, all around 5’6” tall and of slim build and they all had short styled dark hair.

One was wearing a dark top and bottoms and a black baseball cap.

The second was wearing a white long-sleeved fitted top with light blue skinny jeans.

The third was wearing a blue waistcoat with a light-coloured t-shirt underneath and light blue skinny jeans.

The fourth was wearing a dark jumper with pale blue skinny jeans.

The fifth was wearing a dark jumper with dark skinny jeans and the man in the shop doorway was wearing a pale blue t-shirt with dark skinny jeans.
