SUSPECT: Image released of man suspected of carrying out armed robbery
AN image has been released of a masked man who carried out an armed robbery at a shop - for three packets of cigarettes.
The robbery happened at McColl’s on Birchington Avenue in Grangetown, near Redcar, on Saturday, September 1 at 8.40am.
A man entered the store and threatened the shopkeeper with a weapon and stole the cigarettes.
The man is described as being of slim build, around 6ft tall and was wearing dark clothing.
The shopkeeper was uninjured.
