THIEVES have plundered a cemetery, stealing a number of items.
Police are appealing for information after several items were stolen from Eston Cemetery.
Thieves struck between Monday, August 20 and Friday, August 24 at the site, which is bordered by Church Lane and Normanby Road.
Some of the stolen items include two 30cm-high grey bears with blue noses and holding a stone heart with the name ‘Paul’ in the middle. There were also two silver spray-painted stone ornaments of sleeping cherubs, with some blue on them, that are reported as stolen.
Officers are conducting patrols in the area and would ask anyone with information regarding the stolen items or those responsible to contact PC Chris James on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
