A DALES artist is set to open an exhibition of his work in the Old School House in Muker, Swaledale.
The exhibition, from September 1 to 30, is a retrospective look at the works of the artist, printmaker, author and poet Piers Browne, showing more than 90 of his best original etchings from his eight books, published between 1988 and 2018.
Piers Browne Illustrated is the first exhibition that brings together a specially curated collection of etchings from all of Mr Browne's books into a single show.
As part of the exhibition, Mr Browne will be at the Old School Muker on the afternoon of Sunday, September 2 to discuss his work and inspiration.
Mr Browne trained at London’s Royal Academy Schools before settling in Wensleydale in 1975 to become a professional artist.
