POLICE have arrested three men in connection to reports of a fight breaking out involving weapons.
Members of the public dialled 999 after seeing weapons being produced, including an object believed to be a crossbow.
The Cleveland and Durham Special Operations Unit (CDSOU) responded to the incident in Billingham on Sunday night.
A CDSOU spokesman said: "We received reports of an altercation that had escalated to males brandishing weapons.
"A van linked to the suspects was found a short time later and two men were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
"The driver also failed a roadside drug test. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the others involved."
