GATESHEAD East and Washington West Labour MP Sharon Hodgson, attended the annual meeting of Washington Citizens Advice Bureauand praised the work of the CAB, because "it saves millions of pounds for local people".
She also said that a good response to growing levels of indebtedness and bankruptcies is "education programmes aimed at teaching people how to be sensible with their money".
