A CAR mounted the central reservation at 20mph following a heavy downpour.
Police have released an image of the vehicle to warn drivers to "drive to arrive".
The silver Peugeot crashed on the A689 near Sedgefield on Monday.
On Twitter, Durham Police Road Police Unit said: "We attended a single vehicle RTC on the A689 near Sedgefield.
"The vehicle was only travelling at 20mph but the roads were slippy following a heavy downpour."
