MASTERCHEF star Gregg Wallace was back on his TV duties when he paid a call on Bedale-based sausage-makers Heck Food.

He was filming his popular BBC2 show Inside The Factory and working alongside the Heck team helping sausages fly off the line onto the shelf, following the pork as it arrived and helps with the mixing and making.

The programme, to be braodcast on Tuesday at 8pm ,also looks at the scientific lowdown on getting the best from your banger and the history of traditional pork sausages.

“We were so proud to invite Gregg to visit us, and in particular when he talks at the end of the programme about our enthusiastic and skilled team,” said co-founder Jamie Keeble.

"To be on the show was a huge compliment.”
