A CHARITY supporting retired NHS workers is looking to open new branches in the North-East.
The NHS Retirement Fellowship is appealing for retired and soon to retire health service workers from Darlington, Teesside and the surrounding areas to join the charity.
The Fellowship provides social, leisure, educational and welfare activities for current and retired NHS and social care staff.
It has around 10,000 members at a number of branches across the UK and hopes to boost membership by establishing new branches around Darlington and the Tees Valley. The charity currently has branches in Middlesbrough and North West Durham and are hoping to reignite interest in areas including North Tees and Durham, where branches closed recently.
