MOTORISTS are being guided through Bishop Auckland by police following a crash involving a bus and a 4X4.
The Arriva North-East bus remained at the scene at the junction of Escomb Road, on Cockton Hill Road, at 12.15pm.
Damage was caused to the front of the single decker bus, on the side of the passenger entrance, in the collision.

Durham Police were called to the incident at 11.46am.
A spokesperson said a man on the bus sustained a minor head injury.
The North-East Ambulance Service, which sent a double-crewed ambulance to the scene, confirmed a man was transported to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
Passengers were seen to be sitting on a nearby wall, and were giving statements to police about 30 minutes after the crash.
A PCSO was guiding traffic past the scene and traffic is reported to be backing up through the town.
