A COMMUNITY celebration will be held to mark a train station's 175th anniversary.
Organisers of Bishop Auckland Railway Station's annual station community event promise this year's will be bigger than ever as it marks the landmark date.
The free event from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, July 28 will include live music, stalls, crafts and vintage bus rides.
Organisations participating include community groups such as Bishop Auckland and Coundon In Bloom, Bishop Auckland Town Team, theatre and heritage groups, charities, emergency services, the Forces and local charities and traders. Bishop Trains & Excursions by Rail, Stockton & Darlington Railway Youth Team, Weardale Railway, The Bishop Line Community Rail Partnership, The British Transport Police and Locomotion will also feature.
