A PENSIONER was threatened by a knife wielding burglar who followed her into her home.
The 68-year-old victim was in her garden when she was confronted by the man brandishing the weapon.
He followed her into her home, making threats to harm her, and stole her handbag which contained a purse with a small amount of cash inside and bank cards.
Cleveland Police said the burglar, who also took a handheld steam cleaner, clambered over a garden fence and then rode off on a bicycle following the incident in Wellington Street, Stockton.
Police now want to trace the man who is white, about 5ft 5ins tall, of skinny build, wearing a dark hooded top, dark trousers and a scarf across his face.
Anyone with relevant information should contact Detective Constable Shaun Jackson from Stockton Operational Crime Team on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 113499.
