TWO of the Yorkshire Dales’s most talented entrepreneurs have joined forces to support an animal charity.

The partnership between artist Stacey Moore, known for her stunning drawings of Dales wildlife and Leyburn-based Hannah Russell, who writes books about her miniature Shetland pony Little Alf, is set to

benefit Brooke Action for Working Horses and Donkeys.

Ms Moore has become Little Alf’s official artist and is raising funds for Brooke’s ‘Every Horse Remembered’ campaign.

The campaign marks 100-years since the end of the First World War and is remembering the lives lost.

Ms Moore has created a commemorative piece of Little Alf - who is a Brooke Ambassador - with the symbolic poppy.

Ms Moore said: “It was a joy to draw Little Alf and capture his cheeky character.

“Being an avid animal lover I’m proud to be supporting such a beneficial charity and raising vital funds for Brooke.”

Ms Russell said: “I’ve loved working with Stacey, seeing the drawing come to life has been amazing, Stacey’s incredibly talented and it’s brilliant that Little Alf is being used as a symbol to remember the horses, donkeys and mules who lost their lives.”

The original drawing will be auctioned at the annual Brooke Gala Dinner this November by Alastair Stewart and all of the proceeds will go to Brooke There are also 500 limited edition prints available from staceymooreart.com
