POLICE are seeking a man in relation to a serious assault on a woman.
Bishop Auckland Police released a photograph of Michael Francis on Facebook earlier this month, and appealed to anyone aware of his whereabouts to get in touch.
On Wednesday, officers issued a fresh plea for help to trace Mr Francis, of Escomb, Bishop Auckland.
The 27-year-old is wanted in connection with a serious assault on woman, which occurred on May 6.
A police spokeswoman said: “Francis knows that he is wanted and is actively evading police. Harbouring a suspect is a criminal offence.”
Anyone with any information should contact Durham Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
