DELAYS are expected to trains running from Harrogate this morning, following a signalling problem.
All the lines from the North Yorkshire station were blocked by waiting trains early this morning, following the problem with the signalling system at the station.
The issue affected all lines and resulted in early services to London King’s Cross, York and Leeds to be cancelled.
National Rail says the problem has now been fixed, allowing lines to reopen, but says some services from the station may be delayed or revised this morning as the backlog is dealt with.
Virgin Trains said customers travelling from Harrogate who have missed their planned Virgin Trains connections at Leeds or York were advised to take the next available Virgin Trains East Coast service.
Passengers already at the station are advised to listen out for any updates via the PA system and customer information screens.
