TWO people were taken to hospital following a house fire in North Yorkshire on Sunday evening.
Firefighters from Malton, Pickering and Huntington were called to the blaze in Hambleton Road, Norton, at 6.29pm and remained there until 9.45pm.
The crews used breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two main jets to extinguish the fire.
Police and ambulance services also attended the scene and a female occupant and male passer-by were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
