A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a motocross accident.
The victim, in his 30s, suffered a leg injury in the incident, said to have occurred in a rural location, south of Consett.
"Our crew delivered advanced pain relief on scene before airlifting the patient to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle," said a spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance.
The injuries are said to be non-lofe threatening and the patient arrived at hospital in a stable condition.
