A BANK is looking to give people who are less fortunate a treat this Easter by collecting chocolate eggs.
The Virgin Money Darlington store is collecting Easter Eggs on behalf of the King’s Church Foodbank.
The King’s Church Foodbank, also based in Darlington, provide a foodbank, furniture and run a café from their church for the local community.
Bosses say that Easter eggs should be donated directly in the store, and you don't have to be a Virgin Money customer to make a donation of an Easter egg.
Louise Day, Virgin Money Darlington store manager said: “We are collecting Easter Eggs on behalf of the King’s Church Foodbank because they play such an important part in our local community.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has already made a donation, we are extremely grateful.
“For anyone who would still like to donate an Easter Egg there is still plenty of time.
Ms Day added: “You don’t have to be a Virgin Money customer, everyone is welcome, just pop in and see us and you can help to make a real difference this Easter.’’
