A MAN has been charged following an armed robbery at a Post Office.
Thomas Hurman, 24, of Rockwell Avenue, Darlington has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm following the incident at Blackwell Post Office, off Carmel Road South, at around 5.45am on Friday morning.
A 27-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of robbery and another 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. Both are currently in police custody.
- Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to call Durham Constabulary on 101 quoting reference 39 of February 16.
