A MARKET town’s fledgling restaurant has already achieved early success, winning an AA rosette within its first five months.
The Swinton Country Club and Spa’s The Terrace Restaurant in Masham received the accolade after impressing experts with its globally-inspired small plates and sharing boards, fresh fish and meats.
The menu has been carefully curated to showcase local produce from the estate’s four-acre walled garden and surrounding area, with over 60 varieties of fruit and vegetables on offer.
Head chef Chris McPhee said: “We are thrilled to gain our first AA rosette so soon after opening.
“The Terrace is an amazing space and I’m fortunate to work with a talented team and exceptional fresh produce.”
