The following is a round-up of incidents and appeals from around the region.

Men arrested

The Northern Echo:

Durham Road Policing reported that on Thursday, three men were arrested following a dangerous pursuit in Seaham. "Drugs and offensive weapon recovered," they wrote on Twitter.

Bogus workmen

Sedgefield Police reported on Friday morning that they had reports of  men travelling in a white van claiming to be from Proseal.

"These males are targeting vulnerable members of the community offering to power wash drives, charging excessive prices. Proseal is not operating in this area at this moment in time," they wrote on Facebook.

Vehicle seized

Peterlee Police say officers seized a vehicle on Wednesday night after it was seen on Eden Street, Horden. Checks showed that the vehicle had no documentation and had no registered keeper. 

Altered plates

A MAN has been stopped and arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice after altering number plates to avoid ANPR detection.

According to Darlington Police, the suspect was also arrested for drug driving after testing positive for cocaine and his Peugeot Bipper was seized from St Cuthbert's Way, Darlington.

Stolen car

A stolen vehicle has been recovered from Honeypot Lane, Darlington.

Darlington Police say the Mazda 3 had been stolen from Buckinghamshire.

Car seized

Officers in Darlington seized a Ford Focus at Eggleston View and the driver was reported for an expired driving licence and no insurance.

Wheelies

Chester-le-Street Police say a warning notice was issued to a man riding a road legal Honda motorcycle near to Great Lumley.

"He thought it was a good idea to pull wheelies on the main road - it wasn’t!" they said.

Driver arrested

A disqualified driver was arrested after Peterlee Police say they received information that he was regularly driving a red Citroen C5. "The vehicle was sighted on the Coast Road near Crimdon Dene Holiday Park and and promptly stopped," they say.

Wanted driver

Durham Police say the driver of a VW van was stopped by Durham Roads Policing Unit on the A688 near Bowburn as he was wanted for theft by Northumbria Police and a failed to appear warrant at Preston Magistrates Court.

Wheelchair theft

Officers are appealing for any one who witnessed the theft of a wheelchair from a property on the Riggs, Hunwick. This incident occurred in January between the dates of January 2 and 20.

The wheelchair is described as being silver and may have labels connecting it to Darlington Memorial Hospital.

Positive test

Bishop Auckland Police say they received intelligence that the driver of a white Subaru Impreza was a suspected drug driver. The vehicle was stopped by officers on Beaumont Street, in Bishop Auckland, at 9.05pm on Monday, January 5.

The male was arrested after he tested positive during a roadside drug wipe and subsequently released pending blood analysis.
