A POPULAR annual debate which had to be postponed back in November has been rescheduled for Friday, February 9.

There is no admission charge for the event, which is hosted by the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFYFC), but organisers ask that those wanting to attend register to help with catering arrangements.

This year’s topic is: “What’s next for the great British countryside?” and the venue is Thirsk Auction Mart.

John Craddock, chairman of YFYFC, said: “Young farmers have a proud history of public speaking and getting involved in the issues of the day.

“We always have a great calibre of panellists and look forward to welcoming as large an audience as possible.

“It’s important to say that all ages are welcome, just because this event is organised by the young farmers it doesn’t mean it’s only for the younger generation.”

Those attending are asked to arrive 7pm for 7.30pm and to register by calling the YFYFC office on 01423 865367 or email office@yfyfc.org.uk
