A BURST water main left hundreds of homes with little or no access to water this morning.
Householders in Billingham took to social media to complain that they had no running water or slow water pressure, with Northumbrian Water later tweeting to say that a burst water main in the TS22 or TS23 postcode was to blame.
Streets reportedly affected included Hylton Road, Heaton Road, Tamworth Road and Pentland Avenue.
The complaints were seen online from around 5am, with Northumbrian Water updating followers on Twitter to say that the water main had been repaired at 8.30am.
They advised anyone experiencing discolouration of their water to run their cold tap for 30-40 minutes.
