THE Helmsley Christmas Tree Festival is open to spread a little festive cheer until December 17.
Featuring 31 trees which have been individually decorated by businesses and organisations around the town, the theme for the fourth festival is Stars.
Each business approached the theme differently, with decorations varying from Shooting Stars and Yorkshire Stars to Star Signs and Catwalk Stars.
As well as members of Helmsley in Business, Helmsley Community Primary School, All Saints Church, Helmsley Community Library, Helmsley Toddler Group, Mothers Union and the Girl Guides have all taken a tree.
The festival, which is being held in the church, is open from 10am to 4pm daily. Entry is free but donations are welcomed, which will be split between local good causes.
