A CLIFF top search conducted by the coastguard, RNLI volunteers and the National Police Helicopter has resulted in a missing person being found.
The Redcar Coastguard was joined by team members from Staithes, near Whitby, after reports of a person at risk in the Markse and Saltburn area of east Cleveland on Sunday night.
A search party was led around Saltburn’s Valley Gardens and its surroundings before other search terms investigated clifftops along Hunt Cliff at around 7.38pm.
Redcar RNLI lifeboat, Atlantic 85, was also tasked with joining the search in the water below, supported by a police helicopter.
Cleveland Police control room confirmed with the coastguard that the person had been found by police units shortly after.
