A TRACTOR driver suffered a head injury and was airlifted to hospital following a collision with another vehicle.
Officers from Durham Police and medics from the Great North Air Ambulance Service were called out to the the incident in North Bitchburn, near Crook, at about 10.30am on Sunday, November 12.
A tractor and a white Vauxhall Astra were involved in the collision in Green Lane.
The driver of the tractor, a 70-year-old man, sustained head injuries and was airlifted to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by air ambulance for treatment.
Upon arrival at the hospital, his injuries were not found to be life threatening.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the male driver of the Vauxhall Astra did not suffer any injuries in the collision.
