THIRSK Truck Gathering held its annual ball at Thirsk Auction Mart on Saturday night.
The event was held to raise money for Ellie Renton, a seven-year-old little girl from Kirkby Malzeard, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, who was diagnosed in December 2011 with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 2.
SMA is a genetic neuromuscular disease, which means it is inherited and affects nerves responsible for muscle function. Children with SMA face the prospect of progressive muscle wasting, loss of mobility and motor function.
Ellie will need care her whole life so the group's aim is to help her be as independent as she can.
Organiser Jason Smallridge said: "I would like to thank all the local businesses that donated to the raffle and auction and also everyone that supported me and the charity.
"We raised a total of £3,613. I feel so proud that this will go towards helping Ellie."
