ANT and Dec have today paid tribute to "broadcasting giant" Mike Neville.
The regional TV news anchor, who fronted Look North on the BBC and then Tyne Tees Television's news programme North East Tonight, died aged 80 on Wednesday evening.
Newcastle duo Ant and Dec wrote on Twitter: "Sad to hear of the passing of North East legend Mike Neville. He was part of the family to so many. A broadcasting giant. RIP".

Broadcaster Lauren Laverne wrote: "Sad to hear that NE news legend Mike Neville has passed away. He interviewed me many years ago. He was fab and I was utterly starstruck."

Jim Moir - best known by his stage name Vic Reeves - and comedy partner Bob Mortimer previously paid tribute.
Moir wrote: "Our Look North Hero," while Mortimer tweeted: "RIP Mike Neville.. superb innovative broadcaster #DadToTheNorthEast".
