A NEW photographic exhibition celebrating the joys of the Yorkshire Dales is opening this weekend.
The show at Tennants, Leyburn, displays the finalists from their first amateur photography competition, which launched in the spring.
Visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite photograph until September 10 and the winning photographer will receive a prize of photographic vouchers, and the winning picture and eleven runners up will be featured in The Garden Rooms 2018 calendar.
Many of the photographs will be on sale for visitors to buy with 10 per cent of proceeds going to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.
Trust chief executive David Sharrod said: “The Yorkshire Dales: Where the Past Meets the Present is a theme that’s close to our hearts as a charity that works to conserve, enhance and celebrate the unique heritage of the Dales as well as helping to ensure its healthy future."
