FOUR people from Sunderland have been jailed in connection with the death of a father-of-three
Michael Stead, 34, was assaulted in Brady Street in the Pallion area, on March 21 last year.
He was set upon by two men, Daniel Mould and Michael Young in a planned and unprovoked attack, orchestrated by his then partner, Leanne Mould.
A third man, Trevor Creighton, has been convicted of taking part in the planning of the attack.
Mr Stead, who was also from the city, never regained consciousness after the brutal assault and died on December 28.
Daniel Mould, 25, of Chester Terrace North, received a life sentence with a minimum of 23 years with a concurrent 14 year sentence for conspiracy to commit GBH.
Michael Young, 25, formerly of Rutherglen Road has been given a 13-and-a-half year sentence for manslaughter.
Leanne Mould, 34 of Brady Street and Trevor Creighton, 33 of Lumley Street, have received six and ten year sentences respectively for conspiracy to commit GBH.
