VILLAGERS are preparing to hold their fifth annual scarecrow competition.
Invitations are invited for entries to the Easington Village Scarecrow Competition, staged from September 3 to 10.
The competition, organised by villager Alice Morton has seen a variety of imaginative scarecrows over the years.
Mr Morton said: “We’re looking forward to celebrating our 5th anniversary with a new cup where residents are being asked to nominate their favourite scarecrow from all five years.
“I can’t believe we’ve got this far and I can’t wait to see what people come up with this year.
Residents who would like to take part can get entry forms online or person at Village News.
There is a £1 entry fee The awards fair will be held at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Easington Village, on Sunday September 10 from 2pm to 4pm.
