A factory was evacuated today and nearby roads closed after an explosion.
The incident happened at a BOC plant, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham. Police said there were no reports of any injuries.
A force spokesman said it appeared that an oxyacetylene tank had exploded.
Fire crews from both County Durham and Tyne and Wear are on the scene.
