COPIES of a guide produced by the Department of Health on the dangers of heatstroke will be available in Bishop Auckland.

The booklet warns that elderly people and people with heart, mental, breathing or mobility problems are most at risk.

Eleanor Lister, advice worker for Age Concern Durham County, will be at four clocks tower, Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, on August 7, from 10am to noon to offer advice and hand out the guide or call 01388-720064.
