HUNDREDS turned out in the sunshine for Darlington’s annual Proms in the Park event at the weekend.
The event offered music for all tastes, including The Royal Signals (Northern) Band and 102 Battalion Reme Pipes & Drums, as the audience enjoyed the glorious weather with their own picnic and chairs.
There was also dance performances from members of Stagecoach (Darlington) and, a new addition to the event, Darlington Eurovision Junior Schools Choir.
Jake Tompkins, Managing Director at Modus Seabed Intervention, which sponsors the Proms in the Park event, added: “We’re delighted to once again support Proms in the Park, to help mark Armed Forces Day.
"It is a fabulous community event which we are proud to continue to support, and we hope that it is enjoyed as much as in previous years.”
