A CHURCH service to celebrate art is to be held to launch an exhibition.
The exhibition, which features the work of local artists, will be held at St Matthew's Parish Church, Leyburn, from August 8 to 11.
It is open to the public daily, from 10am to 4pm, and includes displays of local crafts and embroidery as well as pictures, which are for sale.
A celebration service on August 7, at 7pm, will feature The Circle Dancers with the preacher, the Reverend David Paton- Williams. The service also features music and poetry.
After the service, an exhibition preview takes place in the church hall, at 8pm. Tickets are £2 from Leyburn tourist information office or at the door.
