A MAN has helped a job-finding scheme reach a milestone by getting on his bike.
Family man Tony Cowan took up the offer of a bike to get to and from a new job at UK Wood Recycling, in Wilton, east Cleveland.
He has become the 250th person to have found a job through Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's Routes to Employment scheme.
The scheme also helps people with interview clothes, organises travel, child care and accommodation costs, if a job is outside the area.
Gary Jones, Wilton site manager of UK Wood Recycling, said: "The team has been a fantastic support. Not only are they able to find people who are willing and eager to work, but they can help with providing interview facilities and training, which has proved invaluable to a company new to the area and building its own premises."
