A GIRLS' hockey team is kitted out for a trip to Barbados, following a £2,000 donation by an estate agent.
The Durham School under-14s girls hockey team has bought a set of shirts, tracksuits and hockey bags for its tour of the Caribbean island, with money donated by Robinsons Chartered Surveyors.
The girls will travel to Barbados on Thursday, playing four matches against local school sides before returning to the UK on July 21. They will be joined by Sarah and Mike Gibson, housemistress and housemaster of Durham School's Pimlico House.
Mr Gibson, a level two coach, said: "Barbados has a strong hockey tradition and we expect to encounter a tough set of fixtures. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, though."
