ONE of Britain's top stunt teams, the Royal Signals' White Helmets, will be in action later this month.
The motorcycle display team will be one of the highlights during the Army's open day at Imphal Barracks, in York, on Saturday.
Other attractions will include a sky-diving display, a hot air balloon, military bands, Gurkha and Highland dancing, martial arts demonstrations and historical society re-enactments. For the younger children there will be bouncy castles and a ball pool.
There will be an opportunity to see tanks, tackle an aerial slide, attempt an Army climbing wall or an obstacle course and see all the military vehicles and equipment.
The open day starts at 10.45am and finishes at 5pm. Entry is £5 for a family of up to four and £1.50 for individuals.
The event will be followed by the Bands in Barracks musical extravaganza, from 6.30pm until 10pm.
Tickets are available at the door or in advance from 01904-662011 or 01904-662002. Prices are £4 for an adult and £2 for a child, seated, and £2 for an adult and £1 for a child sitting on the grass. All proceeds from both events will go to charity.
