A LORRY carrying chicken nuggets caught fire on the A1(M) last night.
Fire crews from Broughbridge, Knaresborough, Harrogate, Ripon and Acomb attended the scene of the blaze on the southbound carriageway of the A1(M) between junctions 49 (Dishforth) and 48 (Boroughbridge) at around midnight.
The road was closed for several hours, but one lane was reopened at 5am. The remaining lanes remained closed until 10.15am while the vehicle was recovered but have now been reopened.
