A COUNTY Durham mum has been selected to head up an international craft company’s flagship store.
Amy Roger, 28, is joining North-East business Crafter’s Companion and will oversee the day-to-day of its Newton Aycliffe base.
The Chester-le-Street woman has spent a decade climbing the retail ladder from a Saturday girl to management, while raising her son.
She said: “The opportunity to be part of an internationally successful and rapidly growing business, which still has its roots firmly placed in the North East, is very exciting.”
Crafter’s Companion is a craft supplier which sells products globally online, on TV and in stores.
