THREE fire crews have extinguished a fire at a thatched cottage in Durham.
Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue service recieved a call about a fire at a cottage in the grounds of Ramside Hall, near Durham city, at 1.47pm.
No-one is believed to have been injured in the fire, which has now been extinguished.
A statement from the fire service said around a third of the roof was on fire and was being dismantled by crews.
Two crews from Durham and one from Spennymoor are at the scene. They are using breathing apparatus and two hose reels.
